Happy International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples!!
The Northeast India AV Archive, Department of Mass Media in collaboration with the Department of Khasi, St Anthony's College, celebrated this day with a discussion on this year's theme for the occasion, 'Indigenous youth as agents of change for self-determination.'
The entire programme was carried out in the Khasi language, and the speakers were Dr Badaplin War, retired Professor, Department of Khasi, North-Eastern Hill University and Dr Esther Syiem, Professor, Department of English, North Eastern Hill University. The discussion was moderated by Erica Jyrwa, Associate Professor, Department of English, St. Anthony's College.
