Manas is a National Park and animal reserve in Western Assam. In the last decades two issues have become critical and have been successfully solved: the reintroduction of endangered species like the Rhino or the Bengal Florican, and the involvement of local communities to restrict and overcome poaching. 'Resurgent Manas' presents a dual narrative: on the one hand it provides samples of the various species that are present in the Park, while on the other it explains how the success of the Park has been possible through important initiatives. The result is a documentary that underlines the importance of a symbiotic relationship between all living species.

The film examines the policy initiatives in the North East to increase its social, economic and cultural interaction with the rest of the country. North Eastern India, due to its geographical isolation has not been developed at par with the rest of the country. Now, the Government of India with its 'Look East Policy' has taken a step to rectify this situation. There have been new infrastructure initiatives within this region such as the setting up of a network of highways, railways and pipelines. With a large number of educated and English speaking youth emerging from these states combined with a policy of integrating with the neighbouring states, the 'Look East Policy' aims to transform North-East India as a thriving social and economic belt.

The misings are one of the largest native community of Assam who has opted for riverine plains of Brahmaputra river, Unfortunately this community have fallen victim of devastating flood of the river every year and their livelihood is being jeopardized and constantly in move from one place to the other. In other words, they are some times called the 'nomad' community of Assam, and the Govt. of Assam is not doing enough to safeguard this community's future!

Here is the story of how the mightiest of mammals, the elephant is caught. The film shows the difficulties encountered in trapping wild elephants in the thick forests on the banks of the river Kabini in Mysore. Stupendous efforts required for successful operation of the 'Khedda' are vividly explained in the film. Catching the wild elephants is a risky job indeed requiring patience, skill and years of training.

Abiding Grace' is an informative film on the culture, landscape and history of the North East of India. It takes us through the seven states in the North East, namely Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. North East India has a predominantly humid sub-tropical climate with hot, humid summers, severe monsoons and mild winters. Along with the west coast of India, this region has some of the Indian subcontinent's last remaining rain forests. The cultural traditions are not confined to themes of divine love but also include a strong influence of mythology that people can easily identify with. The film travels to each state and visually narrates the traditions, dances and practices along with the distinct landscapes of each of the seven states.

The Film explores the intricacies of Manipuri traditional handloom and its allied activities, unravelling mythology to understand the continuity of an age-old cultural tradition which is reflected in the socio-economic life of the Manipuri people.
